After graduating with an accounting degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia, Sharon worked as a mutual fund accountant for IFTC. In 1995, she began a career at George K. Baum and Company as a sales, trading and underwriting assistant. While working full time, Sharon earned her Masters of Business Administration from Rockhurst University. Over the next 23 years she focused on institutional and retail sales of tax-exempt fixed income. She received her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation in December of 2021.
Sharon lives in Leawood, Kansas with her husband, Bill and their two children, Reese and Kate. When she is not on the sidelines cheering on her kids, she enjoys traveling, reading and baking.
